Ramen, explaining it for the people who don’t know well, it is a small plastic cup keep the warm soup in it which makes people happy. Also, it is an instant noodle which is put in the small plastic cup. The famous brand in U.S. is japanese ‘Maruchan’.
In S.Korea, when people got asked what they need to keep first when the war occurred, they all said ‘Ramen’. For real, when North Korea intimidated them, the price of Ramen was boomed. Even there is a saying that the price of Ramen represents how the people in Korean society feels insecure.
Instant noodles were first marketed in Japan on August 25, 1958, under the brand name Chicken Ramen (チキンラーメン) by Momofuku Ando, who was born in southwestern Taiwan, formally known as Formosa, when the island was under Japanese colonial rule. Momofuku developed the production methodology of flash frying the noodles after they had been made, creating “instant” noodles. Ando made noodle company Nissin, and this company brought cup noodle to U.S. these days too.
The first Cup noodle in Korea was ‘Samyang Ramen’ It came September, 1963. It looks similar with the first Japanese instant noodle, because it came from Japan.
